MISSIONS & MINISTRIES

Project Outreach is in need of liquid hand soap, body lotion, shampoo/conditioner, bar soap, body wash, toothpaste and toothbrushes, dental floss, deodorant, tampons, sanitary pads, razors, flushable wipes.

Our mission in life is to bring glory to God.

We nurture our faith through worship, prayer, fellowship, education, and outreach across all life spans.

We serve our community with care and compassion, engaging in both local and global missions and outreach.

PROJECT OUTREACH – FOOD PANTRY

On-going mission initiatives supporting the local food pantry serving the Royersford and Spring City communities with food and household items collected via shopping cart as part of our weekly offering during worship. Members of our congregation serve at the Food Pantry monthly.   Surplus goods collected are shared with Mission First in Pottstown.

ECO PLASTIC PRODUCTS of DELAWARE (ECOP)
PLASTIC BOTTLE CAP/LIDS COLLECTION

Eco Plastic Products of Delaware is a non-profit organization that recycles eligible plastic to make consumer products with a mission to eliminate plastic waste. Bottle caps and lids are converted into useful and sustainable consumer products. The consumer products are then donated to other non-profit organizations and can also be purchased by individuals, municipalities, companies and organizations.

PROJECT HOPE – WARMING CENTER

The warming center opened November 1, 2023. Churches in the borough of Pottstown rotate weekly to host a program that benefits the homeless and under-funded population in the Pottstown community.  A donation collection jar is found in our Sanctuary to help off-set the enormous cost of this effort.

IN IAN’S BOOTS

This global outreach program collects new and gently used footwear for distribution around the world through it’s warehouse located in Pottstown.  Looking for donations of footwear and to assemble small teams to sort, tag and pack donated items at the warehouse to help prep upcoming destination shipments.

PINE RIDGE INDIAN RESERVATION –
WANBLEE, SOUTH DAKOTA

Ron Williams, a Pottstown resident, organizes this project.  LUCC learned of Ron’s humanitarian work to assist this Native American community in need and invited him to share the story of the Wanblee Support Project with our congregation.  To date, monetary donations and gift cards have been collected to help defray travel costs including truck rental, fuel, food, and lodging for Ron’s journey.  Also gathered were non-perishable food items, bedding, blankets, diapers, clothing, school supplies, and personal care items.  Funds will be raised this year to cover the cost of supplies for a porch/ramp mission updating homes of the elderly with mobility concerns.
