MISSIONS & MINISTRIES

Our mission in life is to bring glory to God.   We nurture our faith through worship, prayer, fellowship, education, and outreach across all life spans.   We serve our community with care and compassion, engaging in both local and global missions and outreach.

Our Lenten Mission...
Animal House Project - DRY DOG & CAT FOOD DRIVE

March 2nd through Easter Sunday, April 20th

Animal House Project began in conjunction with the Chester County Pet Food Pantry.

Their operation is located on Robinson Street in Pottstown.

They offer comprehensive support to vulnerable animals including rescuing, adopting, and facilitating veterinary care and food access.

Animal House Project is committed to addressing the needs of at-risk animals and their dedicated families, ensuring a brighter future for these cherished companions.  “At times, they are the last option for families to keep their companion pets at home.”

Animal House Project provides donated pet food and pet care services to families going through life-sustaining trauma including cancer, Parkinson's, MS, and Lou Gehrig’s Disease; seniors living on a fixed income; returning and retired military veterans; domestic violence survivors; and single parents teaching their children the responsibility of caring for animals. They currently provide food to many animals including dogs, cats, horses, birds, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, bearded dragons, and even hermit crabs.

Collection boxes will be placed in the Narthex for your donations starting March 2nd.

For more information on the Animal House Project and what the organization does, brochures are available in the Narthex.

PROJECT OUTREACH – FOOD PANTRY

We support our local food pantry serving the Royersford and Spring City communities with food and household items collected as part of our weekly offertory during worship.  Members of our congregation serve at the Food Pantry monthly for community distribution.

MISSION FIRST

LOS ANGELES COUNTY
WILDFIRE RELIEF

For the month of January, the cash jar in the back of the Sanctuary will be designated to the victims impacted by the severe devastation of the southern California wildfires in Los Angeles County.

All funds will be sent to the Conference office for forwarding to the appropriate channels to reach the wildfire victims.

Our supplemental food donations are shared with Mission First's Food House and Kitchen servicing the Pottstown community.

We held a winter coat drive to collect coats and delivered two dozen coats were the week of February 2nd.

ECO PLASTIC PRODUCTS of DELAWARE (ECOP)

POTTSTOWN BEACON OF HOPE

Beacon of Hope provides year-round emergency shelter for Pottstown residents experiencing homelessness at the Warming Center.  In January, members of our mission team provided a meal of beef barbeque, rolls, mac -n-cheese, and brownies.

Plastic bottle caps and lids are collected to support

Eco Plastic Products of Delaware a non-profit organization that recycles eligible plastic to make consumer products

with a mission to eliminate plastic waste.

The bottle caps and lids are converted into useful and sustainable consumer products. The consumer products are then donated to other non-profit organizations and can also be purchased by individuals, municipalities, companies, and organizations.
